In the highly competitive airline industry, people are often what distinguish one customer service experience from another. However, talented staff are hard to recruit and retain, and in 2003 easyJet was experiencing the ‘talent squeeze’. It needed to find a way to recruit and retain the best people, who could deliver the brand promises (cost, safety, on-time) and competitive advantage it promised to easyJet customers.
